Shungite is commonly used for EMF protection and shielding the aura. Elite Shungite is the rarest form of Shungite found in only 1% of all Shungite deposits and comprised of 90-98% Carbon, making it very high in C60 Fullerenes. Due to the high carbon content in Shungite, it has a high content of naturally existing C60 Fullerenes. C60 fullerene cells themselves, also known as "Buckyballs" are powerful antioxidants that act like a magnet to toxins, free radicals, and other harmful pollutants and break down the cell walls and neutralise them. Handling Shungite may leave a residue of Carbon which is easily washed off. All Standard Shungite is 25-75% Carbon depending on the piece and has inclusions and impurities such as traces of Pyrite and other minerals which is why it is not used for water filtration. These inclusions can show physically in an appearance on the Crystal and therefore each piece differs slightly in appearance and can have some streaks and lines showing up on the surface of the pendants, which is perfectly normal and should be expected for standard Shungite.
