Handling Shungite may leave a residue of Carbon which is easily washed off. All Standard Shungite is 25-75% Carbon depending on the piece and has inclusions and impurities such as traces of Pyrite and other minerals which is why it is not used for water filtration. These inclusions can show physically in an appearance on the Crystal and therefore each piece differs slightly in appearance and can have some streaks and lines showing up on the surface of the pendants, which is perfectly normal for standard Shungite.
